Come to know dengue virus!

The dengue virus is in genus flavivirus of family Flaviviridae.

Morphology : it is enveloped, spherical virus with 40-60 nm diameter.     The main structural components are capsid which composed of two proteins, nucleocapsid (“C”) and matrix (“M”) and glycoprotein envelope.

Genome : Dengue virus genome  is single-stranded, (+)sense RNA, ~10.5 kb.
